Name calling can be very troublesome, but if you tell a dirty joke and someone calls you a pervert, do they get the joke and really think you a pervert or they didn't get the joke and are annoyed at you so name calling is their defense?
Whatever.....
Do we loosely use words in the company of friends appropriately. I mean you can call your close buddy a jerk off and get away with it. Having a few drinks and blurting out "you slut" when your friend tells you about some hot night she had.
Have words lost their real meaning becoming just a anecdote slur of friendship?

You miss read how close you are to someone. You know that person that is new to the circle, the one you try your damnest to include in the FUN!
At some point in our goofing around days of life, we jest, we kid, we shoot the bull and sometimes we shoot it to let off steam and relax.
Be careful who you call a pervert, jerk, pisshead....they might not exactly be that kind of friend.
If someone calls me that it is because I just told them a joke or made a comment. I don't mind it. In fact, I wear the title proudly...because I, and my real friends, know the truth.
